Do numbers have inherent meaning? I find the “frequency” interesting, regardless of the skepticism in our society.  As you can see, it is no wonder that I am a Reiki Master, Spiritual Teacher and Speaker! Over the years I have found the readings to be “right on” … so let’s explore this new year before us!

Now, onto the ‘2009 Numerology Outlook.’ Let’s look at the new year 2009!

2009 (2+0+0+9 = 11) seems to mark the beginning of a new direction, or at least that’s how I see it. In 2009, the 111th Congress of the U.S. will commence. And in 2009, a new president will take office, and that president’s birthday will contain numbers which add/reduce to the number 11. (Note, the number 11 is a very significant, spiritual number and is very prominent in some of the world’s most major events.)  Barack Obama’s birthday adds up to 29, which reduces to 11. His common name (Barack Obama) has 11 letters. His first and last names total 5 vowels and 6 consonants (5+6 = 11). Both Senators Obama and McCain life path number is 11. Both born in August and reduce to a master number 11.

The newly elected president will be sworn in on January 20th, and he will be the 44th president. 1/20 (1+2+0) reduces to 3, and 44th president (4+4) reduces to 8. Obama’s birthday adds up to 29, which coincides with the “29″ in 2009.

It is also interesting to note that all U.S Presidents (except for Lyndon Johnson, who wasn’t elected) were born above the 33rd parallel. The 2008 election will seat the first president born UNDER the 33rd parallel- Obama was born in Honolulu. 2009 will be a very, very significant year in my view and will mark the beginning of a huge transition.

2009 is the year of change and with change comes loss. None of us really like change; usually we fight it and then end up in a worst situation. Like they say “bad habits are hard to break”. Of course you can not have change without having “some” loss on top of it. So this is something we all need to expect during the new year. Don’t fight the change, call on the healing. When the change comes to a close and the losses are behind you, you can look back and smile and be grateful for the things that you may have not appreciated before.

It is not very often that we all go through “a lot of change together”. Because of planetary changes and a bunch of other things, the entire planet is going into a transition. This transition began about a year ago and will continue for about 3 more years. This will not only affect the planet itself, but each and every one of us on this planet. You will see change like never before in your life. Change is not a bad thing, it can be just a bit difficult or fearful if you allow negative thoughts to control you. Part of the difficulty is because of the loss that comes along with the transition.

So, with this major transition in effect, it is a great time for all of us to bring change into our lives and learn from the losses that will occur during the process. We will all lose several things close to us within the year. This could be a loved one, a job, or a close friendship. Try to look at the loss and learn what you can from it. Like I said “Go with the flow”. Do not be afraid to take a chance at making life better for you and your family. Don’t overlook the little things; in 2009 we will all need to focus a lot more then normal.

Educate yourself, and focus on bringing balance, harmony and center-ness to your life. Be willing to learn and “experience” with all the changes. Here are a few things you can incorporate into your life for guidance and direction…

You may find some ups and downs in your health. Your body may be picky in 2009 and you will have odd cravings to eat healthier foods. Sometimes, along with the transition comes depression and withdrawal. Try to keep your head straight and always remember that there are people out there that have it worst then you. You may also notice that there will be much more hard work in the new year. Not all things will be easy and you may find yourself constantly trying harder then normal. Stay focused on your goals, “write them down, post them”.

All and all it is really not going to be a bad year. It really depends on how you look at it. We are all here to learn and grow spiritually. In order to do so, we have to go through these transitions of change and loss. Remember that with loss comes growth and change can bring happiness like never before. Think positive and always project positive energy. I know it can be hard at times, but it is all worth it in the long run. Every little bit of negative energy that you put out comes back to you three times over. Same goes for projecting positive energy. So why bother doing anything other then good and positive?

It is only January, and I am already experiencing a lot of change, my husband is moving his business location one block away…. A big move!  We are traveling more for family reasons, my students are as young as 15 years old and as old as 70?  I am learning to drive in the snow and keep a fireplace burning, almost funny I know…..Who would have thought???
