Tuning In - Intuitive Listening
You want your life to have meaning. Perhaps you sometimes wonder, “Do I have a reason for being here on Earth?” “I want to live my Passion!” Or maybe life has been so challenging you find yourself asking, “I am a good person, so why is my life so hard?” How can The Secret Of Reiki Blog help me? Using healing techniques this blog will present through articles, tools and more, I have helped many people find answers to such questions. If you apply what you learn from this blog site, you will find answers and experience a deeper sense of purpose and fulfilling relationships. You will feel more relaxed and empowered to meet life’s challenges.
Reiki and Intuitive Listening are a couple of healing techniques I use with clients and teach. People who come to me for a private healing session are usually dealing with one of the following issues:
In Crisis: having suffered a loss of some kind
Blocked: full of guilt, confusion or fear
Struggling: entrenched in high drama, difficult relationships
Inquisitive: eager for growth and development, they want to know themselves
Pain: physical, depression or discontent
To those who are new on the spiritual path, Reiki, Energy Healing and Intuitive Listening may seem confusing or bewildering at first. Many people fear it will not work for them. They are afraid they will not have that authentic experience. It takes time and practice to process and learn Reiki and trust your psychic impressions, feel and understand the vibrations that all work together to balance and heal. In my experience, I find a person’s level of intuitive listening and spiritual development affects their results; whether they are coming for a healing or learning Reiki to become a practitioner. It is a process, after you are attuned to Reiki, you will practice on yourself, family or friends…. You may want to keep a journal, the details of your journey are important. You will experience progress, learn to recognize spiritual messages or the healing you receive is the true gift of this work.
Practicing Reiki and Intuitive Listening (feeling different vibrations or sensations, the sixth sense- that gut feeling) reminds me again and again that humans are energy beings. Your subconscious thoughts, belief systems, and feelings are energetically connected throughout your whole body, impacting the way you act, move, behave and even influencing your state of health. Western medicine is catching up with this idea and has recognized that stress can affect one’s physical well-being.
Reiki helps you stay calm, strengthens your intuitive abilities, enhances your ability to concentrate and helps you hear your inner voice so you don’t always need to rely on others for advice. Just as you can refine your physical senses, you can also sharpen you inner faculties, your psychic senses- “intuitive listening”. You can learn to tone these muscles; work your “intuitive muscles”! Remember though, if you are out of shape, or new, you don’t begin by lifting heavy weights; you’ll probably strain yourself, get frustrated, and defeat your purpose. You begin by lifting lighter weights until you feel comfortable, same as practice and process with the Reiki energies, vibrations and intuitive listening. Honing your Reiki and intuitive skills takes practice and patience; don’t be in a hurry, enjoy the journey.
The first step in experiencing Reiki vibrations and intuitive listening is to uncover which of your senses is strongest; this will usually correspond to the way you generally receive information. Are you more visual, cognizant, or feeling oriented? Use a journal to document your experiences.
Simply Exercise
You may want to record this simple exercise on tape, so you can practice it and master this technique. Speak slowly and softly, pausing briefly after each sentence so when you play it back to practice you have allowed time for the process. Allow three minutes to complete the visualization…. Arrange not to be disturbed. Leave your concerns and situations behind for your quiet time, go to your sacred space you have created. Turn down the lights, pull the shades, light a candle, burn some incense to create a peaceful atmosphere. You can play some soft music to set a quiet mood.
Stretch out in a comfortable position in your sacred space. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Relax your body. Feel your breath move through your body like a gentle wave…. Imagine it with a child-like mind…feel your breath move through your body until you are very relaxed. While you inhale, inhale peace, harmony and healing. On your exhale, let go of any tension. Inhale , breathe to relaxation. Exhale, let go a little more. Continue breathing deeply for a minute or two. With your eyes closed, imagine with a child like mind your present kitchen. Look down at the floor. What material is it made of? How does it feel against your bare feet? What’s the temperature in the room? How does the air feel against your skin? What color are the walls? Do you hear any sounds? Do you notice any smells? Notice the sink, are there any dishes in it? Or was it empty? Go over and touch something that attracts your attention. What does it feel like? Now just let all this go. Get a sense of the room you’re actually in. Feel you body. Slowly open your eyes and return to the present.
Record your experience by answering the following questions in your journal. How was your clairvoyant experience?
*Could you see/visualize in your minds eye?
*Was your kitchen a picture? if so sketch it, even if you think you can’t draw. *Could you see it in detail?
*Did you notice any colors?
*Could you see if there were dishes in the sink or was the sink empty?
*Did you notice any colors?
*Did you feel as though you were watching a movie of your kitchen?
How was you clairsentient experience?
*Could you feel the air against your skin or the floor against your bare feet?
*What object attracted your attention?
*Did you touch it?
*What did it feel like?
*Did you notice any sounds or smells?
*Did you feel like you were standing in your kitchen?
*Write down any body sensations you experienced.
How was your claircognizant experience?
*Were you unable to see or feel anything in your kitchen but just knew the color of the walls, the temperature of the room, and whether there were dishes in the sink?
*Were you unable to see or feel a special object but knew what that object was?
*Did you feel as though you were floating in your kitchen?
How was your overall experience?
Journal any sensations and experiences you may have had, don’t concern yourself if your mind was too busy to get to the kitchen. Keep practicing, remember patience. Most people have a combination of visual, knowing and feeling perceptions. Whatever you experience is right for you. No way is better than any other.
I bring you this exercise to practice getting in touch with your senses. Practice recalling your kitchen to become more comfortable with flexing your intuitive listening skills or “senses”. This exercise will prepare you to retrieve information, tune into vibrations, sensations and open your “minds eye” during meditation and Reiki sessions promoting relaxation, balance, harmony and healing. You will soon be tuned into vibrations, understanding and your senses.

I thrive on my life having meaning. I have thought about writing a book for many years and thought that it was foolish of me to think that I could actually do that. I guess it’s because I don’t have a lot of confidence in myself. By reading a lot of your work and your thoughts on many issues, I have started to think differently about myself and I thank you for that. I want to write a book to help others in their struggles in life, maybe by talking about my own struggles and issues that I have gone through and learned from can help others to not make the same mistakes I have made in my life. Like they say your never to old to learn something.Lately I have been learning a great deal about the phrase things happen for a reason, and I hope I can do something to help others realize that things do happen for a reason and life is one big lesson, that we all learn from. Thank you Kimberlee for inspiring me to change myself and my life in order to help someone else in the process. Your the best, Love ya Donna Cirillo
